About

About Nashville Stair Railing

Stair, porch and deck-stair railings for Nashville and the cities around it.

Who We Are

Nashville Stair Railing installs, replaces and repairs stair railings, handrails, balusters and guards in Nashville and the cities around it — interior staircases, porch and front steps, and deck stairs, in wood, iron, steel and aluminum.

Why Railing Work Around Nashville Takes Local Knowledge

Drive twenty minutes in any direction from downtown and the rules change. Metro Nashville, Franklin, Murfreesboro, Smyrna and Gallatin have moved to the 2024 International Residential Code; Hendersonville uses the 2021 edition; Mt. Juliet still enforces 2018. Metro Codes lists railing and guardrail replacement as permit work. Historic overlays in Nashville, Franklin, Murfreesboro and Lebanon each review porch railings their own way. We sort out which of those touch your job before anything is ordered.

How We Quote

We come out and measure, then put the price in writing: material, length, how each post is anchored, and labor, with a repair-only price next to it when that is a real option. Nothing is ordered or removed until you say yes.

What We Stand Behind

Any warranty terms are written on your quote, not advertised here as a headline number.

Ask Any Contractor for These

In Davidson and Rutherford counties, Tennessee requires a Home Improvement license for residential remodeling jobs of $3,000 to $24,999, and any job of $25,000 or more needs a state contractor’s license. Ask for the license type and number and check it with the Board for Licensing Contractors. In homes built before 1978, work that disturbs old paint falls under the EPA lead-safe (RRP) rule, so ask about that too.

Get in Touch

Call (615) 437-4214 or send the form. Say whether the stair is inside or out, roughly how many steps, what the posts sit in — concrete, brick, deck framing or a finished floor — and send a photo if you can.
